What were the greatest challenges you had to overcome when setting up your home theater?

This system was upgraded from a 15 year old Onkyo & JBL set up. The biggest challenge the upgrade to was to ensure a clean install without any hanging wires. All power cords, speaker wires and patch cables were routed behind walls. Getting solid but simple wall speaker mounts took some doing.

How has SVS impacted the performance of your system?

This system is located on the bottom level with a carpeted concrete slab floor. The assistance provided by SVS in acoustic tuning of the systems was invaluable. The result is now incredible sound to the point, we’re now re-watching action based Blue-Ray movies.

What are some of your favorite music and movies for showing off your audio gear?

Pink Floyd’s Time off of Dark Side demonstrates real bottom end followed by David Gilmore’s howling guitar solo. Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy, oh so much fun both visually and acoustically. Hunger Games is next, maybe Battleship (boom boom) again.

Why is having a home theater important to you?

Watch what I want, when I want, stop it anytime and no one chomping on popcorn or texting beside me.
