What are the differences between the ported box and ported cylinder subwoofers?
While the form factor is clearly different, the acoustic performance within each family (NSD, Plus, Ultra) is virtually identical because they share the same woofer, amp and porting. As such, considerations like aesthetic preference and whichever version will best blend into your décor should steer your decision.
I have large and/or powered towers. Should they be set to Large/full-range in my A/V receiver menu?
Even large passive or powered towers can’t match our SVS subwoofers in deep output and extension. They will perform and sound best when set to Small and matched with an SVS subwoofer. Use a speaker/sub crossover frequency of 40-60 Hz in the A/V receiver menu.
After running auto-set-up in my A/V receiver, it set some of my speakers to Large/full-range. Is this OK?
This is a common mistake made by A/V receivers during auto-set-up and will result in poor bass performance and may even damage your speakers at high playback volumes. After auto-set-up, navigate to the A/V receiver speaker set-up menu and change any Large/full-range setting back to Small, with a speaker/sub crossover frequency which best matches the bass capabilities of that speaker. How do I determine the best SVS subwoofer for my particular system and room?
Several variables factor into this decision, including the size of the room, the preferred playback level, the type of loudspeakers, and any size/weight/footprint restrictions you may have. How do I turn-on my SVS Plus or Ultra subwoofer equipped with the Sledge STA-800D or Sledge STA-1000D DSP amplifier?
Hold down the IFC button for 5-10 seconds and the amp will start. The amp menu settings are default for a home theater application using the A/V receiver for upstream digital bass management. If you have any specific questions about the various menu options, please ask our staff of Sound Experts and we’ll assist.

How long does it take for my SVS product to ship?
SVS product orders usually ship within one business day after the order is placed.
Shipping
How much does shipping cost for my SVS product order?
Shipping is free for any SVS product shipped within the continental USA (CONUS). For shipping outside of CONUS, please ask our staff of Sound Experts for a quote.
What is shipping transit time for my SVS product order?
Shipping time depends on your location relative to our distribution facility, but typically will range from 2-5 business days. When your order ships, we will email you a tracking number which will allow you to determine when your SVS product will be delivered.
In-Home Trial Period and Returns
Does SVS offer an in-home trial period?
SVS offers a 45-day in-home trial period, which is the longest of any major brand. This will give you time to fully evaluate your new SVS product, to make sure it’s a perfect fit. If for any reason you would like to return your SVS product, your purchase price will be refunded, less the return shipping costs (please ask our staff of Sound Experts for the exact return shipping cost). Returns must be initiated within the 45-day trial period. Please ensure the product is returned in original condition and is also shipped using the original packaging.
Warranty
What is the warranty period on my new SVS product?
SVS has a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, which is one of the longest and most comprehensive in the consumer electronics industry. Warranty exclusions include (but are not necessarily limited to) force majeure, acts of nature, AC power surges, and abuse.
I think my SVS product might need repair.
Please contact our staff of Sound Experts to help you troubleshoot and isolate the cause of the problem. If we determine that any parts need to be replaced, this can be done easily by the customer in just a few minutes using normal hand tools. We provide all of the guidance and support needed to make sure the process goes smoothly, so your SVS product is properly repaired.
