When you set out to replace a woofer as great as the "old" ISD woofer, which graced our famous Powered Cylinder and entry level Powered Box subs for several years, it's not a task you take lightly. In essence, we wanted to improve performance (if not cosmetics, the NSD is purposeful and industrial looking, which of course misses the point to its existence) and not raise the price on finished subwoofers... all while further improving sound quality and durability.

Well over a year in the making the "NSD" was born, and as with its predecessor we quietly slipped it in to production and in shipping products in April 2006, weeks before it was even announced.

Of course with a woofer this good, built in our own Ohio factory, we know all you terminal upgraders out there wouldn't rest till you got one in your SVS subwoofer, despite the ISD being still one of the best components in the audio business at the affordable price point. Enter this "loss leader" pricing on what's sure to be the most popular way to breathe life into trusted products.

More efficient, better power handling, excursion and room complementary frequency response, this driver will up the ante on what you probably thought was an affordable subwoofer that couldn't get any better. The harder you push your system now the more you will appreciate this performance upgrade.

Keep your "old" ISD woofer (or if your SVS sub is even older our first generation standard driver) around as a spare or experiment with your own audio do it yourself project.
