Plus 12.3 Series Woofer Upgrade --

One glance at the slick new look of the SVS-designed and built Plus 12.3 woofer, and you know we sweated over this one. Given how incredible the "old" Plus woofers were (two distinct versions over the years with numerous running changes too) any improvement in performance or durability ... as well as the cool features like anodized aluminum cone and competition-style binding posts, meant you got "show" along with the "go". Of course with a woofer this good, built in our own Ohio factory, we know all you terminal upgraders out there wouldn't rest till you got one in your SVS subwoofer

With a response profile more complementary to the mid-sized room gain most users experience, this woofer will typically yield flatter in-room response and better mid-bass headroom than previous versions. If you punish your SVS subwoofer often you'll appreciate the hand-built and high-tech care in assembly that yields improved durability too.

Better cooling, build quality, and top of class performance doesn't come inexpensively, but the overall package is befitting our most popular woofer line. As with its cousin, the NSD woofer, this new Plus driver was well over a year in the making and ushered into products even before it was announced in March 2006. If your SVS Plus subwoofer shipped February 2006 or sooner you might benefit from this upgrade. Users not pushing their current older Plus subs to the limit, probably are (rightly) well satisfied already but the upgrade is open to all registered owners of applicable products (see below).

Despite previous generations of Plus woofers being still world-class, we've made "loss leader" pricing on another path to breathe life into trusted products. The harder you push your system now the more you will appreciate this performance upgrade.

Keep your "old" Plus woofer around as a spare or experiment with your own audio do it yourself project (though SVS is unable to provide design data or expertise to support those efforts)..

If you have one of the following subs which shipped before February 2006, it's worthy of your consideration if you want the most up to date hardware in your system (contrariwise, if your sub shipped after April 2006 you have the NSD already). Sales to valid SVS Plus subwoofer owners only.:

Complete upgrade kit comes with replacement instructions, and extra base plate pads, (current "crimp connectors" no longer needed and must be removed before installation). 10-20 minutes with a screwdriver and wire crimper is all it takes to bring your SVS to the same level of performance as those rolling off the line today.
