Legato. Italian for "tied together". In music, it describes the smooth transition of connected notes, and was the inspiration for our all new passive dual subwoofer system.

The original SVS subwoofer was a passive cylinder design, and this unique and elegant form factor has since become an iconic symbol of SVS performance heritage. The Legato passive dual-cylinder sub package was developed in response to continued requests from discriminating audiophiles who crave outstanding bass performance with the flexibility of an external chassis amplifier. Twin passive cylinder subs based on our world-renowned PC12-Plus platform, 800 watts of external Sledge amplification, and custom hand-built speaker wires. Your system never had it so good!

Plus-12 Driver – Rugged and Refined
The exclusive SVS Plus-12 driver is now in its 5th generation of refinement, and is the finest transducer available at this price point. This driver is so overbuilt, our R&D engineers had to push it with over two-thousand watts before it even broke a sweat. And despite this ruggedness, the Plus-12 driver delivers exceptional linearity, low-distortion, and excellent detail.

Sledge Amplification – Intelligent and Sophisticated Power
Passive subwoofer fans no longer need to suffer with "stage amps" or confusing pro-sound mixers; our Sledge STA-800H chassis amp is perfectly customized and matched to the Legato subs, delivering a clean 800 watts of DSP controlled power. Comprehensive and extensive menu options are accessed via an intuitive single-knob interface with LCD display, allowing for easy set-up and integration into any home theater or stereo system.

With only a 16.5" diameter footprint, the Legato subwoofers will fit into almost any location, and no other subwoofer design offers more bass performance per square inch of floor space. Using vertical height to achieve a generous enclosure volume and deep-tuned porting, the Legato subs effortlessly reproduces the deepest bass notes with stunning authority. Legato also offers our trademark variable tuning to accommodate different size rooms and deep extension requirements.

Finally, the dual Legato subs will create an overlapping and denser modal pattern in the room, with a smoother frequency response at more listening positions. Finished in high-grade black velour fabric, these unique and elegant subwoofers will complement the most upscale décors and high-end theaters.
