    Upgrade to the SB 2000Pro

    Upgrading from an Energy XL8.2 - 300w - 27Hz subwoofer that is 15+ years old

    Family room 5.1 setup - open on one end to the kitchen

    Bass absolutely pounds - so low - and can be so LOUD

    I did a bass sweep and heard sounds starting at 17Hz

    Very happy with the upgrade

    My previous experience with SVS is a PB10 that I have in my office - way too big physically to put in my Family room - so I went with the company that provided me a great sub and great support in the past

    Fantastic sub

    I am starting to replace some aging audio equipment that has sounded good for a long time. A friend recommended I look at SVS, a company I’d never heard of before. I was a long time car audio installer, I built a lot of amazing systems over two decades. Good home audio was out of my reach for many years. Apparently not any more. If this sub, which is barely bigger than my 20 year old 8” sub, is indicative of the rest of their product line, it’s well within reach. Bottom line, this sub performs. Musically It’s every bit as crisp as what I had before, but output isn’t even close, this thing is loud enough to get noise complaints from my neighbors on the first day. Guess I should have been watching the volume a bit closer. The only downside is the rest of my system now sounds hollow and muted comparatively. Looks like a full system upgrade is going to happen.

    I had previously purchased the ultra 16 and loved it, and when my subwoofer broke from my other system, I immediately went to SVS again for the subwoofer. Your products are great, and the sound quality on your subwoofers is tight, responsive non-muddied and clear to the intent of the music.. Kudos to you and your team.
