Prime Satellite - Piano Gloss - Outlet - 1849
From the moment you feel the heft of the Prime Satellite speakers, you understand they’re not the typical compact satellite speaker designed primarily for lifestyle or visual appeal. The Prime Satellite is a bona fide small bookshelf speaker that deftly plays any role in a home theater or audio system, and shatters expectations while doing it.
No satellite speakers have ever offered the level of rigorous design, high-end components and precise build quality in a such a super compact cabinet. The Prime Satellite conveys stunning dynamic impact and convincing detail and refinement well beyond what’s expected from such a small speaker. It easily mounts on any wall or ceiling, or sits on any surface, and is painstakingly voiced to blend with all speakers from the SVS Prime and Ultra Series lines. It’s also neutral sounding enough to integrate seamlessly with speakers from other brands in multi-channel home theater surround sound systems. These factors give the Prime Satellite incredible flexibility to serve in many different roles depending on the layout of your room and the specific needs of your system.

Engineering a small speaker to sound massive while maintaining detail and refinement means compromises aren’t an option. Every aspect of the Prime Satellite speakers was designed for sonic excellence. From the premium grade driver and sophisticated SoundMatch crossover to the extra-thick baffle, internal bracing, and FEA optimized tweeter diffuser, the Prime Satellite speaker’s design and engineering credentials put it in the realm of much costlier, and much larger speakers.
Prime Driver & Tweeter Design
Thoughtfully designed for acoustic excellence, the 4.5-inch mid-woofer is mounted in its own dedicated and completely sealed compartment to ensure smooth, precise and clear midrange and bass output that’s free from coloration. The cone material is extremely light and rigid and maintains a flat frequency response with excellent handling across the foundational mid-range frequencies.
The Prime Satellite speaker’s 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter is light, efficient, and rigid, and plays crystal clear at high volumes. The clarity offers a sense of utter transparency, while offering an ‘airy’ presentation and incredibly unveiled highs so female vocals and dialogue always sound natural, crisp and smooth.
Innovative SoundMatch Crossover Design
Since premium drivers require an equally capable crossover, no expense was spared with the innovative SVS SoundMatch 2-way crossover. Its tapered array is designed to minimize the potential for beaming. This creates an expansive, yet focused and precise soundstage, with accurate frequency response at all listening positions in the room. The precise tuning of the SoundMatch Crossover also ensures pinpoint accuracy of highs, mids, and lows, while maintaining pristine signal purity.
Performance Driven Cabinet Design and Geometry
Tapered edges on the Prime Satellite speaker’s front baffle, known as chamfers, minimize edge diffraction for clear and precise soundstaging. The cabinet’s presence offers a modern industrial feel with acoustic enhancements like shorting rings and a tweeter diffuser which add performance-driven style. All of these advancements are packed into a compact but attractive small bookshelf speaker cabinet, that’s easily mountable anywhere. Available in stunning piano gloss black, piano gloss white or premium black ash finish.

Why Subwoofers are the Best Home Theater Upgrade
Great speakers and excellent customer support
I'm not an audiophile. I've been accused of it, and I've gone to arbitration and paid a large settlement, but it turns out I am not an audiophile. Anyway, I initially purchased four of the satellites, the prime center channel, and the SB-1000 subwoofer for a 5.1 home theater setup. This is a huge upgrade from the HTIB setups that I've had in the past. For movies and TV, this setup is just about perfect for me. But, I saw that the prime bookshelves were available on clearance, and thought that they might sound a little better when listening to 2-channel music. So, I decided to upgrade the front L/R channels and keep two of the satellites for the rear channels. SVS handled the return of the two satellites with ease and quickly sent out a refund. Being from Pittsburgh, I'm glad to support a (somewhat) local company, and I would definitely recommend any of the prime speakers.
SVS Satellite speakers in Hone theater
Website was great delivery extremely fast, and product packaged excellent. Set up was a breeze and sound for movies AND music was excellent. I chose a single sb1000 sub that provided all the bass needed for a great experience. Highly recommended!
Big sound from a little speaker
I can't believe how incredible the SVS prime satellite sounds. Incredible sound distribution throughout my entire theatre room. Elegant design that performs above and beyond. Paired with the SVS PB1000 subwoofer, Prime pinnacle tower speakers, and prime center channel. My home theatre has never sounded better. SVS has the absolute best customer care center i have ever dealt with. They are in our corner all the way. My wife and I couldn't be happier with SVS.
These little (heavy) speakers sound amazing!
I have them running my 5.1 setup in my living room and even though I can only compare them to my Samsung 5.1 in a box from 2006, there is a crispness to the sound that I have never heard before. Highly recommend! Picking up a PC-2000 Pro subwoofer next week to compliment them.
Prime Satellite as Presence speakers
This completes my all SVS speaker system. 1 Ultra center, 2 Ultra bookshelf speakers (L and R front), 2 Prime Satellite surrounds, 2 Prime satellite presence speakers, and 2 SB12-NSD subwoofers. The group works well for movies and music (calibrated using Yamaha YAO and a Radio Shack sound meter) to make an open soundstage where individual speakers location is not apparent.
