Reviews Summary
Customers say this subwoofer delivers tight, punchy bass with impressive depth and power that transforms both movies and music. Many reviews highlight its ability to fill large rooms with smooth, distortion-free sound while maintaining musical accuracy. Users appreciate the easy app-based calibration and seamless integration with various speaker systems. The sealed design provides clean, fast bass response, and reviewers frequently mention the tactile impact and room-pressurizing effect during movies. Common feedback notes the substantial weight and size, though owners consistently praise the performance-to-price value and report significant upgrades from smaller models.

    A Great Subwoofer

I have been upgrading slowly my home theater. I started with the Prime Elevations, the Ultra Evolution Prime Elevations, Center, Pinnacles, and Bookshelves, Finally I purchased two SB-5000 R Evolution Subwoofers to complete the upgrade. The 5000s replaced my “old” SB - 13 subwoofers. What an improvement in bass quality. The bass is much tighter and quick. The output is massive. Very pleased with the improvement these subs make.. I love the new auto EQ calibration in the SVS app. The 5000s is great for classical and jazz as well as for movies. And finally. I should add that SVS customer is fantastic and helpful.

    Bass output achieved

My SVS journey started in November of 2022 with the purchase of dual SB1000 Pros. I was initially quite happy with the performance but realized I was addicted to the bass and soon wanted more output. I then purchased dual SB3000s (pre-Revolution models) in November of 2025 and again, was initially satisfied but still felt there could be more. I took advantage of the trade-in program and purchased dual SB5000s and what a difference right out of the box, these things are impressive! The massive change in output compared to the SB3000s is not even comparable. While the SB3000s are very good, tight and responsive, if your goal is massive output you need to step into the SB5000 series. I was nervous at first that they wouldn't be as tight or quick responding especially for music but there is no issue. These things simply rock!! The visceral feeling these things bring to music is exactly what I was looking for. Of course, SVS customer service is fantastic, and have walked me through every stage of my journey for that perfect bass. Thank you again Jonathan West!

    EJ’s home theater.

The SB-5000 R/Evolution brought my home theater to the next level. Setting it up was a breeze with the SVS AUTO EQ.

The bass control, dimension and accuracy is above my expectations and it continues to surprise me.

All is all, it’s like watching the movie for the first time with a well balance system.

Thank you Gary and the SVS team for making this possible.

    Sb5000r

Order, and processing with SVS is second to none. I’ve only had a couple days with the sub hooked up so not much to offer in a performance review but I imagine if you’re looking at a sb5000 you already know.
