When/Why did you first start getting into high-performance audio?
I've always been a tech enthusiast and can remember as far back as 16 years old owning a pair of Technic 3-way speakers with 15" subs with my old box TV blasting Super Metroid on Super Nintendo.
What were the priorities when building your "Ultimate Dolby Atmos Home Theater"?
Experiencing the Ultra Evolution Elevations was a game changer as I'd only heard upfiring Atmos to that point so having proper Atmos was probably the biggest factor and will continue to be in the future. Having my room acoustically treated is probably second.
What made you decide on SVS for your home theater and what have your impressions been?
Coming from soundbars and an entry to mid level Polk Signature Series system, I never really experienced anything at this level. It wasn't until one fateful day meeting the SVS team at a local Bjorn’s AV in San Antonio, and hearing the speakers first-hand that I knew, oh yea, I've got to get these.
The Ultra Evolution center channel blends frequencies better than any other center speaker I’ve experienced. The imaging is crisp with crystal clear output. By far the best experience I’ve ever had with a center channel.
The Titans are extremely well built and the sound quality is incredible. These tower speakers blow my previous set out of the water. Hearing is believing and if you’re anything like me, this may be the last time I upgrade in a very, very long time.
Maybe the biggest surprise was the Ultra Evolution Nano since I wasn’t initially convinced it would be able to do the job. I’ve come to realize that it’s the absolute perfect speaker to act as rear or side speakers in a surround setup. While they’re smaller in size, the output is big, clear and precise.
What is the mission of your YouTube Channel, Full Transparency?
The channel is dedicated to providing fully unbiased honest reviews. In a time where the influencer space is flooded by "get something free for a positive review" videos I felt it necessary to put an extra emphasis on being brutally honest.
What is some of your favorite movie/music/TV demo content to show off your system?
My favorite audio experiences so far are Mad Max Fury Road, Oblivion, Civil War, and Ford V Ferrari.
Why is having a high-performance home theater important for you?
The experience. Whether an NFL game, show or movie, the audio experience matters just as much as how good the visuals are to really get you immersed.
