Ported Cylinder Subwoofers

I've always wanted an SVS cylinder subwoofer, and the time arrived when I needed to upgrade. I love that this sub takes up less horizontal space in the room, but still pounds out the bass like no tomorrow! Very impressed with the quality both in finish and in performance.

Repeat customer, and I love a great home theater experience and was excited to upgrade to some newer speakers. You did not disappoint. The Prime bookshelf speakers and PC-2000 Pro more than fill my open family room with great sound, pressure, and ambiance. Everything from dinosaurs, to space battles, to orcs come alive and help us experience movies the way they were meant to! Thank you!

I recently purchased the PC4000 pair and am highly satisfied. My first purchase was twenty-one years ago with the 16-46pc plus that is still operating perfectly today. I didn't purchase out of necessity, I made the decision after the great customer service Nancy provided for a question I had on a 20-39pc plus I also have. Hey four subs are better than two!

I was very reluctant on upgrading my subs but glad I did. I had (4) Acoustech PL-200’s and had a hard time thinking there was going to be much of a difference going from (4) 12’s to (2) 13.5’s especially for the price difference. I was happy with the PL’s and unfortunately built my home theater around them (2 stacked on each other in each corner of the room) giving me a very limited footprint space for subs. Its hard to describe but now have re watched about 20 of my favorite, bass heavy movies and I’m experiencing so much more air movement, and very clean sounding, harder hitting bass. Everything shook in some scenes with my old subs but now everything shakes/vibrates in most all scenes. Even in quite scenes, there is so much more I feel (more so than hear) that I have never experienced before. But much cleaner vibrates & shakes compared to my old subs. I spent hours trying to eliminate all the rattles in my room but there were several I could never get rid of. I have now discovered that those rattles and other strange distortion/chuffing sounds were from the old subs themselves. These PC4000’s are truly amazing and my only regret is not upgrading sooner. Thanks SVS! I would also like to request my next upgrade from SVS: Dual 13.5”drivers in a single, taller cylinder 😊

My PC-4000 replaced a pair of M&K MX-150s. Great bass and plenty of it (once I found the best location). I'm using it in a 16x12x8 room. The bass reminds me of the 70's when my roommate had a pair of LWE-4s driven by a Phase Linear 400 (google them, they have 4 15" woofers/cabinet). I would have given it 5 stars if weren't for worries about future SAF (spouse acceptance factor). Being a cylinder, it is a lot easier to move around (and I do recommend you take the time to dial it in). I had a lot of overhang (boomy bass) at first. I spent many hours finding the correct settings and location. I'm glad I spent the time and now very happy with my purchase.
