Thoughtfully designed for acoustic excellence, the 4.5-inch midrange driver is mounted in its own dedicated and completely sealed compartment to ensure a smooth, precise and clear midrange free from coloration. The cone material is extremely light and rigid and maintains a flat frequency response with excellent handling across the foundational mid-range frequencies.

Dual 6.5-inch woofers deliver effortlessly deep and articulate bass to set the mood and punctuate the low-end impact of instruments, basslines and movie sound effects. Each woofer has a separate internal compartment in the cabinet with its own custom port tuning frequency. The result is deep, powerful and accurate bass you hear and more importantly, feel.

The Prime Tower speaker’s 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter is light, efficient, and rigid, and plays crystal clear at high volumes. The clarity offers a sense of utter transparency, while offering an ‘airy’ presentation and incredibly unveiled highs so female vocals and dialogue always sound crisp and smooth.

Its tapered array is designed so each woofer has its own discrete crossover to minimize the potential for beaming. This creates an expansive, yet focused and precise soundstage, with accurate frequency response at all listening positions in the room. The precise tuning of the SoundMatch Crossover also ensures pinpoint accuracy from sparkling highs down to palpable lows, while maintaining pristine signal purity.

Performance Driven Cabinet Design and Geometry

Tapered edges on the Prime Tower speaker’s front baffle, known as chamfers, minimize edge diffraction for clear and precise soundstaging. The cabinet’s presence is substantial but it does not take over a room visually and offers a modern industrial feel with acoustic enhancements like shorting rings and a tweeter diffuser.     Surpassed My Expectations: SVS Prime Towers Review

    I considered the Klipsch RP-6000F II. I chose the SVS Prime Towers and am glad I did. I run a DAC to my Carver C-1 Preamp, to a couple of Outlaw 2220 monoblocks, then to the SVS Prime Towers. Buying speakers sight unseen can make one a little anxious, but with the return policy, SVS's subwoofer background, and the fact that the towers have been made for over 10 years, it helped make my decision.

    I was hoping for a delivery on the bass response promise and boy does it come through. Actually, it is much better than I expected—so much so that after listening to them a bit, I purchased an SB-1000 Pro to see if it would tighten up and fill out the bass a bit more. I would not have considered getting the SB-1000 if my initial impression was that the towers' bass response was already poor; just the opposite. The SB-1000 just made it better and complemented the towers exactly as I had hoped.

    I have listened to the towers for about a month now and have my system tuned in. Bass, mids, and treble are balanced, and the soundstage is fantastic. I can run these speakers in my amps' sweet spot where the instruments are realistically produced and the dynamics are incredible. The bass sounds like someone is playing "the bass"—it's strong, tight, and not boomy. The mids are definable, voices sound full and detailed, and things like the nuance of reverb decay are amazing. Other instruments such as trumpet, cornet, and sax all have a depth and dynamics I didn't expect. Listening to Miles…

    Very Happy with the Prime Towere

    These speakers are very nice, both in the aesthetics as well as functionality.

    The key is the power you give them.

    I started powering them with a Sony STR-DH520 and it was not powerful enough, but when I purchased a JBL MA9100HP, wow... they Rock!

    I like the SVS product line as well as buying American made/designed, which is important to me.

    I own six(6) of the Prime Satallite speakers; one(1) of the Prime 3-way center; and one(1) 3000-Micro Sub, as well as the aforementioned Prime Tower speakers, all in a 5.1.4 Atmos setup in a small living room.

    Prime Tower Outlet Purchase

    This is my 2nd pair of Prime Towers. I had an old set of Polk Rti70's in my basement that are 23 years old. While still working they lacked quality clarity in mids and crisp highs. SVS also have tight and deep bass to the point that with certain recordings, I will turn my sub off completely. Replacing them with the SVS's was an immediate upgrade making it enjoyable to be there listening to music and home theater. The new speakers are amazing especially at the price point and they perform as well as many speakers of significantly higher cost.

    Amazing Sounding Prime Tower Floor Speakers

    I decided to upgrade my vintage sound system floor speakers. Initially before my purchase I didn't think there would be a significant difference in the sound between the old and new speakers but as it turned out there was a major difference even with my advanced aged ears (Lol). Hearing is believing.. I wish I had purchased them sooner. Every step of the process from ordering, shipping, unpacking and listening to the sounds they produce made it worth the investment. The sound quality of the speakers is excellent and the cabinet finish is top notch.
