Thoughtfully designed for acoustic excellence, the 4.5-inch midrange driver is mounted in its own dedicated and completely sealed compartment to ensure a smooth, precise and clear midrange free from coloration. The cone material is extremely light and rigid and maintains a flat frequency response with excellent handling across the foundational mid-range frequencies.

Dual 6.5-inch woofers deliver effortlessly deep and articulate bass to set the mood and punctuate the low-end impact of instruments, basslines and movie sound effects. Each woofer has a separate internal compartment in the cabinet with its own custom port tuning frequency. The result is deep, powerful and accurate bass you hear and more importantly, feel.

The Prime Tower speaker’s 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter is light, efficient, and rigid, and plays crystal clear at high volumes. The clarity offers a sense of utter transparency, while offering an ‘airy’ presentation and incredibly unveiled highs so female vocals and dialogue always sound crisp and smooth.

Its tapered array is designed so each woofer has its own discrete crossover to minimize the potential for beaming. This creates an expansive, yet focused and precise soundstage, with accurate frequency response at all listening positions in the room. The precise tuning of the SoundMatch Crossover also ensures pinpoint accuracy from sparkling highs down to palpable lows, while maintaining pristine signal purity.

Performance Driven Cabinet Design and Geometry

Tapered edges on the Prime Tower speaker’s front baffle, known as chamfers, minimize edge diffraction for clear and precise soundstaging. The cabinet’s presence is substantial but it does not take over a room visually and offers a modern industrial feel with acoustic enhancements like shorting rings and a tweeter diffuser.     The real deal

    I needed to update my aging Polk T60's, and I was ready to step up to the next tier of tower speakers. I was looking at the Polk S60s, but they were still just 2-way speakers, with woofers and a tweeter. I wanted full 3-way towers. The Polk R700 had them, but the jump in price between the two was insane.

    Then I heard about the SVS Prime series. I already owned two SB-2000 pros so I trusted the brand, but I wasn't sure how good their other speakers would be, and I wasn't sure if towers that cost half as much as the R700 would really be able to perform the way I wanted. But there were a ton of positive reviews for the Primes on Crutchfield so I decided to try it. I bought two Prime towers and the Prime center channel (which is also 3 way)

    My GOD what a difference! It feels like I just got a home theater system for the first time.

    - Super crispy highs

    - Strong mids. I used to struggle to hear dialogue with my old system and now it shines through when its supposed to

    - Meaty low end that plays incredibly well with the SB-2000. The lower frequencies have more texture to them now.

    Part of this may be the impact of going from 2 channel to 3 channel speakers for the first time, but the bottom line is that I have 0 buyers remorse on these speakers. They are the real deal and absolutely justify their asking price and then some.

    Nice upgrade

    I had got the Prime Bookshelf speakers to go with my home theater setup but I realized I was missing that oomph when listening to music, so I decided to return the Bookshelves(awesome customer service btw) and got the Prime Towers. That def made a difference, not only for music but watching movies also feels like an upgrade. Very glad I decided to do the switch.

    Great Sound

    I have always though I had some very good speakers in the pass like Kenwood, Pioneer, Sansui, Cerwin Vega, and JBL. They were good for a young Soldier's pay at that time. But always wanted to own a so call set of high end speakers. so now that I'm retired with a slightly higher budget, I started doing the research and came across the SVS company. After all the back and forth it came down to the SVS Prime Tower and the Emotiva Airmotiv XT1, I liked the fact that SVS has a 45 day in home trial and also I some question about the Prime Tower and there customer service was on point. Fortunately I didn't need the home trial. It only took 1 day for me to make up my mind. The SVS Prime Tower were the right chose. I'm more than satisfied. I'm listening on cloud 9. amazing speakers.
