Awesome sound but the grill that covers the sub is a terrible design. It rattles no matter what I try. The only solution: remove it anytime it’s on. This gets really old when you pay $1500 for a sub that you want to work effortlessly. I have little kids so I need the grill on as much as possible. Almost flawless-just one glaring defect. I even considered upgrading to the $2500 top-of-the-line sub that they offer but it looks like it has the same grill cover and so I’m sure it will be the same problem.

I did a lot of research when looking for a Sub that would give my home theater room the perfect earth shattering Bass. The SB13 Ultra did not disappoint. No matter what I listened to, it made the scene even more realistic and incredible. From heavy bass-boosted music to explosive action movie scenes, this sub blew my mind with heart pounding intensity. I highly recommend this Sub to anyone looking to complete their audio system the right way. Before and after my purchase, I needed some assistance and guidance, their customer support was fantastic. I want to personally thank Darren for his outstanding dedication to making sure I will always purchase from SVS in the future. Great purchase and Amazing Sub!!!!

I have to say that both of them are flawless subwoofers for Music. Now my mistake is that I like movies more than music. I bought the SB 13 BECAUSE of its size. I wish I could get the PB 13 but it's too big . Now don't get me wrong watching Jurassic Park the original some of the pots in the kitchen fell off the shelves . But what can I say I am still missing Baseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

For music say no more it's more than adequate as a matter of fact I think at reference levels its way too much. This thing is quick it does not missing a beat. It integrates as if the low frequencies where originating from the two front channels and my sub is located in the back of the room. That is unbelievable ....

I conclusion if you like movies and your thinking about 1500 to 2000 dollars go for the PB series otherwise you will always be wondering " what if" now if you like music better I cannot recommend it enough. I guess when I get around I will pull the trigger on a PB 4000 but in the meantime I will continue to enjoy this dociled musical beast
