SB16-Ultra - Piano Gloss - Outlet - 1863

This behemoth arrived beautifully packed and delivered by an extraordinarily competent service directly to the spot it would sit.

Out of the box it took a 5 minute call to SVS to get it working. It’s hare to believe a newer model could noticeably improve it, even out of the box. Without any adjustment, it was spectacular. Now the real challenge is the skill required to tune it to my setting. I haven’t attempted it yet, but SVS says they are ready to help guide me through it.

Before I begin my review here is what I recommend as your first step.

Open the packing slip on the SVS SB16 Box and write the serial number listed on the box on the packing slip and put the packing slip in a safe place for future use. SVS Subwoofers are pretty much bullet proof but by doing this first step you are virtually guaranteeing that you will never have a problem with your SVS SB16 since you now have your serial number readily available if needed (smile).

The unpacking instructions listed on the SB16 Box are excellent and if you follow them your unboxing of the SB16 will be painless. I did not have any help available so I had to do the unboxing and setup myself which can be done with the right tools. I used a furniture dolly to move the SB16 subs close to where they would be placed in my room. I followed the instructions on the box and after getting them unboxed I put them on their side so I could install the optional SVS SoundPath Isolation Feet. I made sure to place a large soft microfiber drying towel on the floor so that the side of my subs did not get scratched when I placed them down to install the isolation feet.

After completing placement and getting the SB16's all dialed in I was ready to rumble and I spent the next couple of hours enjoying music and movies.

These SVS SB16 Sub's transformed my theater room and SVS you are not getting them back (smile). Highly recommended.... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've had a pair of SB2000s since 2019 that partnered my Boston Acoustics towers before I upgraded to the Ultra Towers, Center along with Prime Pinnacle Towers for my rears. I was happy with my SB2000s. BUT I recently decided to upgrade to a pair of SB16s and WOW!!! My Ultra Towers, Center, Prime Pinnacles all sound better. The lower frequency output from the SB16s is effortless and more complete. I really didn't know what I was missing until I heard these dual SB16s. I've only had them for a week, I can't wait until these bad boys are truly broken in.
