    Impressions: SVS SoundPath Speaker Level Subwoofer Adapter

    This high level to line level adapter for connecting subwoofers works exactly as advertised and is easy to use and connect. It presented solutions for two amplifiers of mine, which do not have the subwoofer outputs which I needed. My Pass INT-25 integrated has no subwoofer or line outs, and the SVS adapter has enabled stereo subwoofer connections to my SVS SB-5000 R / Evolutions. For my Cabasse Abyss streaming amplifier with only a single subwoofer output, I am using a second SVS adapter to enable high level to line level stereo subwoofer implementation with it as well. Keep in mind that with “Y” adapters, the SVS SoundPath adapter will also enable single subwoofer as well as dual mono subwoofer implementations according to desired configuration and system context.

    These adapters come very well packaged, their build quality is very good, and their appearance is tidy, tasteful, and straightforward. Jonathan and Nick at SVS were very helpful in responding to my inquiries about the use of the adapters. In comparison to other high-level two line level adapters in the marketplace which I considered, this one struck the best balance of quality design and construction and reasonable price.

    Finally a Subwoofer out designed for Power Amplifiers!

    I added this device because I had no sub out from my preamp. The best move I could have made, now I have a device that will follow my power amp out to my subwoofer SVS PB-2000 no matter what my final output will be in the future. The SVS adapter provides the right level with no effect on the speaker sound or drain on the power amp. Recommended, it solves a lot of issues!

    Subwoofer adapter

    The adapter works well without any degradation of sound quality. After adding a subwoofer to my system the sound becomes more three dimensional. Good choice and easy to connect.

    Works but didn’t

    Purchased to integrate with my McIntosh MA5300. It passed the signal to my SVS 2000SBs. However whenever I played higher volume pulling about 10 watts on the amp (according to vu meters) my amps Powergard protection triggered. Unfortunately had to send back. Customer service as always flawless!
