SVS Ultra Evolution Tower - Piano Gloss Black - Outlet

The Ultra Evolution Towers replaced a pair of Ultra Bookshelf stand mounted speakers. They are bi-amped with an Emotiva BasX A4 amp. An SVS SB-3000 fills in where the Towers leave off.

That may be the most unexpected aspect of the Evolution Tower. The bass is deep, punchy, and natural. I did not expect eight 5-1/4 drivers to create so much bass. The Towers would not disappoint in a 2 channel stereo system without the assistance of a sub - life is better with a sub of course!

Of course the mid-range & tweeter section is able to produce a well rounded, fuller soundstage versus the Ultra Bookshelf. All styles of music benefit. Jazz vocals and orchestral music in particular are more engaging than before.

The narrow footprint and relatively low height score well on the wife acceptance factor. I discovered quickly that adjusting the distance from the back wall plays a big part in getting the sound just right as does the amount of toe-in. This wasn't difficult just very necessary.

It's a lot of fun and enjoyment going through my music collection and rediscovering how alive it all sounds through the Ultra Evolution Towers.

My existing system was Ultra Evolution bookshelf front, the Ultra Evolution Center, Prime Satellite surrounds,  and dual SB 2000 Pros, which were good for movies, but left me feeling thin in midrange stereo.

I repurposed my ultra evolution bookshelf to surround duty , moved my Satellites to height speakers, put the towers to the front stage.

I now have a 5.2.2 system that sounds exceptional.  The Towers filled the missing mid-range with stereo music. I now have incredible, full body music, and top-notch theater sound.

As always in my experience, eception customer service that I have come to expect with SVS!

Granted, this is my first venture into the world of nice quality audio, but after listening to many speakers, involving significant travel at times, I decided on the Ultra Evolution Towers. I originally thought I wanted the Prime Pinnacle, but I had to listen to "the next step up" before I left the store that day, and the upgrade was SO worth the price difference to me! I committed to the Ultra Evo line (in Piano White - stunning!) and I haven't looked back. I have since added the matching Evo center channel, Prime Satellites, and a pair of SB-3000 R|Evolution subs (all in white, of course!). That is how happy I have been with the SVS brand and quality. Cheers!
