Ultra Center - Black Oak - Outlet - 1385

I purchased the center speaker and the two Ultra Towers to upgrade my system. I looked at the measurement and thought the center would fit in my rack if I slid it in the side, but when I received it, I sadly discovered there was a metal bar preventing it from sliding all the way to the middle. It was so close. My rack would fit 8 and a quarter inches high. This center speaker is huge at nearly 9 inches tall! I have a nice glass and metal rack and was not pleased that I had to now purchase a new rack for my system, but like I mentioned I also bought the towers so didn't want to send everything back. I had to do extensive research to find a rack that would fit such a large center speaker, and the rack was expensive, but now that I have everything set up I'm very pleased. The sound of the new speakers is outstanding and that's what counts. All instruments, brass, acoustic, electric, organ, strings sound amazing. I have been "rediscovering" all my DVD and Blu-ray concerts I have purchased over the years and you can't get the smile off my face! Oh, did I mention I also have two subwoofers I purchased from SVS years ago? You can imagine how great it sounds. Thank goodness I live in a house and not an apartment. I would get kicked out.

I added the Ultra Center to my Ultra Towers and pair of SVS SB4000 subs Paired with the 85" Sony made the system so cohesive and well blended across the front using Audyssey was great out of the box but did tweak some settings but at near Nirvana with the results AV wise

(FYI The Maggie 20.7s are a separate 2.2 music only system, driven by Audio Research electronics)

Hard to beat the sound at anything remote to the SVS's price Was driving the Ultra Towers with another AR Setup and they performed at a level of many very high dollar competitors.

Cannot wait to hear there new Ultras

I consider myself a two-channel audio person with a painstakingly assembled system. My home theater system has always been a secondary priority. I've begun upgrading it and wanted to start with a center channel that could sustain power and clarity. As an owner of many SVS subs, I decided to add an Ultra Center as the tuning of SVS really does work extremely well for home theater. The UC is fantastic and met all of my expectations. I got the dialogue separation and lift in clarity I was looking for. I'm really happy with the purchase and highly recommend the Ultra Center. But, I'd also recommend any of SVS's products. I have an SB-3000 with my A/V system and an SB-4000 with my two-channel system and both are indispensable to me in providing an extended dynamic range for anything I may listening to or watching.

In addition, a "shout out" to the SVS customer service. My speaker arrived with a cracked grill. I notified SVS and they asked for an image and my serial number (a very reasonable/practical request). I provided the information and a new grill arrived within days. Outstanding. The budget-busting "audiophile" brands who got fat and even more arrogant during the Pandemic audio boom could absolutely learn a few things from this kind of customer support.

This center sounds absolutely amazing. Perfect size not all crazy big where you can't fit it anywhere. But it sounds amazing when watching just about anything..from YouTube to movies and games absolutely amazing how this sounds crystal loud and clear. You can hear every detail in movies from foot steps on leaves and so on. Things I never paid attention to you can definitely hear everything with center. Highly recommended this to anyone who wants awesome set up. Can not go wrong with this
