Commanding 12-Inch SVS High-Output Driver
Equally suited for music and home theater, the PC12-Plus powered subwoofer boasts a 12-inch down-firing Plus Series driver with dual high-grade ferrite magnets and an FEA-optimized motor for distortion-free performance at the most punishing drive levels. Dual linear-roll spiders and stitched parabolic surround allow the PC12-Plus to move massive amounts of air and achieve extreme excursion capability, while the ultra-light and rigid composite cone provides excellent transient response for the ability to start and stop on a dime.
Powerful and Sophisticated Sledge STA-800D Amplifier
Conservatively rated at 800 watts RMS and 2,300 watts peak power, the Sledge STA-800D DSP amplifier inside the PC12-Plus subwoofer delivers effortless power for maximum SPLs and sonic impact in movies and music, while maintaining pinpoint accuracy on frequency and transient response. It also has brains to match its brawn. A sophisticated DSP offers an array of filters and volume, gain, and phase controls for fine-tuning performance, and the efficient Class-D design consumes less than half-a-watt of power in stand-by mode.
Variable Port Tuning
Rated at 16-250 HZ +/- 3dB, the PC12-Plus subwoofer features variable port tuning so you can adjust output and extension based on listening preferences. For connections, the home theater subwoofer features a stereo line-level RCA and balanced XLR input/output connections along with an 80Hz high pass filtered output connections, continuously variable volume and phase controls, and a three top-firing 3-inch high-flow flared ports with large radius inner and outer flanges.
Nimble, yet powerful, the iconic SVS cylinder subwoofer delivers deeper extension and greater output per inch of floorspace than any traditional ported box subwoofer in existence. Musical bass is rendered with subtlety, nuance and toe-tapping aplomb while movie content invigorated with chest-thumping slam and impact as well as mood-setting low frequency effects.

For years I've had nothing but issues with my PC12 plus. So much so it's spent several years in storage. When it works it's fantastic. Wasn't worth the irritation in retrospect. Selling mine for cheap.

I purchased two PB 12 NSD subs five years ago. Was very pleased with them although they seemed to struggle a bit to reach the movie levels I wanted in my large room. Toward the end of the warranty period, one of them developed a problem. I upgraded to a PC 12 Plus and integrated it with the PB 12 NSD. Because the performance and value of the 12 Plus have been well documented in many sources, I will limit my review to the following statement. The PC 12 Plus seems to have extended the frequency response a bit and, more importantly, provided more "heft" through, I assume, its increased headroom.
The critical portion of this review relates to the quality of the customer service which appears to be an integral part of the SVS culture. Without going into details, I worked with Jack and we came up with a deal that, after being approved by Ed, was very favorable to me while providing SVS with a satisfied customer who will tout their brand and send future business, including my own, their way. Other reviews had touted the customer service and I learned firsthand how they are truly concerned about their customers. This is how customer service ought to be done and it would behoove other companies to adopt such a practice. Kudos, SVS!

Replaced a very old Sunfire sub with a PC12-Plus and could not be happier! I don’t wish to sound like a youngster, but dang, it’s awesome!
Yes, I can literally feel the bass. I have not put too much music through it as of yet, but for movies, I have no complaints. Well - one actually - it puts out enough deep bass that I am discovering more things rattle in my home!
I’m not going to go into any talk about articulation, speed, or any other buzzwords that would apply. I bought it, I like it, I don’t regret it in the least.
