SVS Ultra Evolution Center - Piano Gloss Black - Outlet - 1150

I have only had the SVS Ultra Evolution Center a few days and I'm still comparing it to my Polk center channel speaker. I have a dolby 9.1 system with a SVS sub that is the centerpiece of the home theatre. The build quality, and the fit and finish of the SVS Ultra Evolution Center and subwoofer is perfect. I'm not qualified for a speaker review as my substantial hearing loss has impacted my ability to discern clarity and higher frequencies. I'm planning on having trusted friends that are better suited to compare the speakers and to tell me if the SVS Ultra Evolution Center is a significant upgrade over my Polk center channel. The SVS company is first class and had I known about them I would have purchased my other speakers from them instead of the Polk's.

When your wife pops in a Harry Potter movie just after you switch out your center channel for an SVS Ultra and 20 minutes in turns to you and says “I’m hearing things in this movie I’ve never heard before”, then I will call this a successful upgrade.

I’d been doing a ton of research and this speaker had the specs i was looking for along with great reviews. Couldn’t be happier. Currently researching main speakers now and leaning toward SVS to keep matching tweeters.

I really enjoy the dialogue. The highs are really really accurate. There’s no annoying tinging in the highs when you play it loud. SVS has made a winner here. I did have and still have an Arendal THX 1723 center channel and yeah that thing is huge. When I play that loud I could immediately tell the midrange is fatiguing. It is very annoying and been through so many amplifiers and calibration tools to help. I feel that the SVS Ultra center sounds more realistic in dialogue because of the design and placement of the drivers. Great work SVS!

I recently purchased the Evolution Towers, and thought it would be nice to LCR all Evolution. I am replacing my Prime Center Channel. Really didnt think it would matter, was I wrong.

After doing a MCACC recalibration and listening to some Dolby Atmos Music. I was extremely impressed with vocal power of the speaker. The build quality was exceptional, oak black.

I had to turn down the center channel a little bit but otherwise left it alone. Very happy with purchase. It is placed in a BDI cabinet with a speaker screen front, only place to get it placed without moving TV, 83 inch Lg OLED C4. I like the tilt of the speakers face, elevates the sound plane . My system consist of L/R Evolution Towers, Evolution Center, Dual PB 1000 Subwoofers, Ultra Bookshelves for rear/side, 4 Atmos Elevations. 5.2.4. All SVS. Power by Pioneer LX 701 AVR. The speakers I replaced were Prime Pinnacles and Prime Center Channel.
